The first annual ScholarFish Tournament was a huge success! Thank you to all the participants and volunteers who contributed to a fun and memorable day!
Our young anglers event took place at the end T and were guided by many adult volunteers who cut and helped bait hooks. After the fishing portion closed, the youth were offered a t-shirt, lunch, and a first-place trophy, as well as raffle prize chances for all participants.
The adult portion of the tournament was held offshore, and teams were casting for stripers and blues. Various local restaurants contributed gift cards totaling over $1000, which were offered as prizes to the top winners in each class. Those that participated received fishing buckets, hats and SPF shirts that were a huge hit. The luncheon following the weigh-in was met with great enthusiasm as well. Hope to see everyone at the 2024 event!
